Letter from the Dean
Thank you for visiting the web site of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Khartoum, the mother of pharmacy education institutes in Sudan. As the Dean of the Faculty, I am pleased to welcome you to this site that contains extensive information on our programs, staff and students. I would like to thank everyone for their eager support as I take on the duties of Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy. It is a pleasure to be providing management to such an incredible group of staff and students. The Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Khartoum has a long tradition of excellence in pharmacy and graduate education, and research. I am excited to be joining this group and helping them prepare our students for a future that will bring continuing change to the practice of pharmacy. In order to be ready for this inevitable change, part of our mission is to prepare our students for lifelong learning, and to be leaders in all areas of pharmaceutical care, particularly managing drug therapy and counseling patients on the proper use of medications. In essence, making sure our patients are as healthy as possible. Among our many strengths is a large body of committed and engaged alumni and friends who share their life experiences with our students and instill into them the essence of being a pharmacist in Sudan. Admission to the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Khartoum is highly competitive. The students admitted represent tomorrow's leaders in the pharmacy profession.
